It was a great weekend, its strange. I'm two minds about it.. it wasn't EPIC epic, but I personally dont blame the con staff, they were brilliant. I blame the venue. They shut the bar, thats con rule #1 broken, so then its all down to the pub, and that instigates a furmeet feeling to it all, people seperated.

The games area wasn't the greatest idea, because furs are complete social retards, games gave them an excuse to not talk, and then the rest of us had no other thing to do but play games because there wasnt much else to do. Cons are for making friends, we can play games at home. Next year, restrict the games to tournaments and maybe some evening gaming sessions.

Hanging out with zen and ice was awesome. I think I got a couple of skeptical looks from people, but meh. They were about the only people I didnt feel shy around. You had the bulk playing games, you cant talk to them. Youve got the artists, I hate bothing them, youve got the dealers, theyll talk for a while but are usually busy trying to make money, theres the staff, who if you talk to they scream and run away in a panic because youve wasted two seconds of valuable time and the con could explode, and youve got the fursuiters who..dont..talk. The remaining few shuffled around looking awkward or talking to their friends and I felt too shy to interrupt them.

And big hugs to the rest of you who spent time with me, and a huge hug to all the staffers who through hell, high water and people trying to ruin it,kept it together, managed to pull of the BEST PARTY EVER on the boat, and helped me destress from uni. Things were starting to get to me.

All in all I loved the chilled out feel of the con, though it couldve been spruced up with a few more events and such, the hotel pushing you around like ive heard caused that to be a major major problem. Id change venue next year... variety is the spice of life!


On a side note, I'm listening to a fur's DJ set online recording, I NEVER LISTEN TO DANCE MUSIC. I just wanna feel like I'm back on the dancefloor surrounded by furs and fursuiters.
